The Old House at Home, Locksway Road, Milton, Portsmouth.
One of the first clubs we visited on the South Coast, but one of the many Wednesday activities which are in the area. Mainly singaround format meetings. Meet every Wednesday at 8.30. Everybody is made to feel welcome.
The Four Chestnuts, 234 Oving Road, The Hornet, Chichester, West Sussex
Another club which meets every Tuesday night at 8.30. A mix of singarounds and guests. Haven't made it to the new venue yet but from what everybody says it is still well worth a visit.
The Regnum Club, South Pallant Car Park, Chichester, West Sussex, PO19 1DS
A Friday night singaround club. Very Friendly atmosphere. The only draw back seems to be finding the place. On our first visit we were asking locals from Chichester where the Car Park was and they could point out others within 50 yards of it but not the actual one to help us find the club. Once you have found it though everybody treats you as a long lost friend.
Clarence
(Formerly Hole in One)
The Clarence, Preston New Road, Blackpool
A lovely club to visit although not actually local but I didn’t think I sang badly enough to warrant them moving the club to hide from me. The memory of leaving a phone box in a hurry because I had just seen a man with a Bodrhan walk past and I hoped he would be able to give me directions to the local Folk Club will haunt me for years. For details try. and look in the middle of the page.
The Fo’c’sle
The Richmond Inn, 108 Portswood Road, Portswood, Southampton, SO17 2FW
A really enjoyable club which meets every Friday. Please note the contact details on the web page. Always a pleasure to get along there, everybody makes you feel welcome. Parking round the corner in Westridge Road. Watch out for extra events at the Turner Simms Hall.
